Electric sheep we dream about
Medialization between dream and reality

Leading poets and thinkers from the field of tension between literature and new media will present readings, performances, installations and lectures from 6 p.m. until the early hours of the morning, telling of media trends in current literature and medialization processes in our society: Thomas Meinecke, Andreas Neumeister, Alban Nikolai Herbst, David Link and Jörg Albrecht define a new discourse in Oldenburg.

The organizers are also offering a jam-packed supporting program with the latest electricity and fluid mechanics as well as parties and music. The program includes the live radio play “Sybille der Berliner Groschenroman” and the rap musical “Goldfieber” by Alligatoah.

In the supporting program, young artists who have so far only attracted attention through new media such as “myspace” perform until the early hours of the morning.Olaf Dahmke chooses the format of the live radio play for his project “Sybille der Berliner Groschenroman”. He performs it regularly in Berlin.
“It’s not another day” is a multimedia project by the three young artists Ivana Rohr, Lisa Freieck and Berenike Bouwkamp. They present a 25-minute show consisting of live poetry, visuals, live music and electronic music.
Jonas Bohlken tells stories from another world, accompanied by soundscapes. Comic heroes, bizarre heroes of postmodern everyday life and clowns come together in his poems.

In the video slam, mario f. presents stage-tested poets whose texts are based on short films. They perform them against the backdrop of the film.
Rapper Kaliba 69 and DJ Don Deagle discover a clue to a treasure in their garden one afternoon. They crack a code from a newspaper that leads them to a treasure map and set off on the hunt for the big money. Their homepage and the website youtube.com served as a platform for the distribution of their rap musical “Goldfieber”. At “honeyPod 1”, they will perform it live for the first time as “Alligatoah”.
J.D. Hello & Kurt Chemnitz combine their music with visuals, while live from five different turntables they decompose old songs and put new ones together.

honeyPod 1 creates a non-stop stream around the question of whether it really is electric sheep we are dreaming of.
