Workshop for adults aged 16 and over
Cost: 10 Euro
Colombian artist Felipe Castelblanco is interested in the properties of certain plants in his native South America. Using a multispectral imaging technique, he has produced fascinating views of fluorescent plants in the Amazon rainforest at night, which can be seen in his exhibition Counter-Expeditions.
After a tour of the exhibition, artist Jaqueline Menke will give an introduction to the photographic printing process of cyanotype. Dried plants, photo negatives and other objects are used to create exciting image effects when exposed to light. Everyone will have the opportunity to experiment and take their results home with them. You are welcome to bring your own negatives and dried plants for exposure as well as a DIN A4 folder.
Registration is possible until Wednesday, August 27 at 0441 235 3557 or at museumsvermittlung(a)stadt-oldenburg.de.
