From the heavy oil paintings that portrayed former rulers and queens and look out at us from museum walls today, to election posters on which portrait photographs of politicians promise us a better future, to digitally produced portraits of teen idols on MTV or VIVA – portraits exist from different times and in a wide variety of forms.
Pupils from Bad Zwischenahn/Edewecht grammar school worked together with media artists and educators on the subject of portraits through the ages and produced their own video portraits in a practical workshop.
